I have a background in education (sociology of education and higher education studies, including Quality Assurance) and sciences studies (sociology of science, scientometrics, research evaluation, science policy, and innovation studies). I did my graduate studies (Master and PhD) and my post-doctoral research in these areas and for over 10 years, I have been conducting research (and publishing in research institutions based in Africa (Mozambique, South Africa) and Europe (France, Germany, Switzerland). I also have experience in university management, leadership and I have widely provided consultancy services in these areas to several clients.

In the field of training, I am an IFC-LPI certified trainer. Though my experience in training is limited (I was trained in 2019), I have recently provided training services to Government agencies in Mozambique and companies, particularly the Ministry of Education, and Vision Solutions Ltd. But my limited experience can be complemented by my long experience of research and above all of the teaching at tertiary education, where I am currently an Associate Professor.

I can therefore provide training on topics related to sociology, education, science policy, quality assurance, research evaluation, scientometrics, innovation, leadership, and management in higher education, to public and private clients, both based in Mozambique and elsewhere, in Portuguese, French and English.
