Makama Masitha-Hönes is the Director of Business Skills Solutions registered in Lesotho, southern Africa. She is a business and private sector development consultant with more than 30 years of professional experience in Small and Medium Enterprises development in Lesotho. She has in-depth knowledge and wealth of experience in SME sector, entrepreneurship training and development, microfinance, business development support service provision, gained through years of practical experience during her employment with Basotho Enterprises Development Corporation (BEDCO).

She also has sufficient experience in the capacity-building of business development service providers acquired through her years as a coordinator of the GTZ/SMME project and long service as a coordinator of the SMME Support Network – Lesotho. She has a good rapport with local key stakeholders in enterprise development.

Her skills include project management, Training of Trainers, Needs Assessment and Analysis, Program and Module Design, facilitation, report writing, presentation, networking, communication and interpersonal. She is an excellent team player with research and documentation, strategic performance assessment, Monitoring and Evaluation as well as vital computer skills competencies.

She has undergone capacity building as a business development service provider, trainer of trainers, assessor and facilitator, project management provided by CDE Germany, InWENT Germany, IDI, IFC- Business Edge, World Learning and IFC – LPI to name but a few.
