Professor Hatem Ben Sta has his PhD in Computer Science Engineering. He's a professor at the University of Tunis at El Manar, and an associate professor of Science and Engineering at Laval University, Canada. He has also been a visiting professor at many universities and research centers.

Professor Ben Sta spent his sabbatical year from September 1, 2015, to August 31, 2016, at Insight Centre, Galway, Ireland. He was an expert involved in the European Project FP7, H2020. The main tasks related to the project are to prepare the work packages and consortium coordination (ARCADIA Project), to conceptualize and design ontology dedicated to the CityPulse Project, design the ontology dedicated to the core public policies, and training in R and Python language.

Professor Ben Sta graduated as a PhD Student from Ecole Centrale of Paris, August 2006, in Computer Science. His research focuses on software engineering, knowledge management, semantic web and ontology, interoperability techniques, smart cities, machine learning, and big data. He's the author of several articles and journals. He was the co-chair and chair of several international conferences. He has more than 40 papers published at very famous conferences and more than ten papers published in journals. His last publication was for an ISC2 2019 conference that was held last October in Morocco. He is the supervisor of more than 25 Master's degree projects and supervisor and co-supervisor of more than 12 theses.
