Kayumbi has extensive experience in training, strategy, and human resource management. He is a strong leader in customer experience and change initiatives that address cultural reforms and drive functional and business transformation.
Kayumbi is an excellent communicator with a proven track record in coaching, mentoring, and developing management and staff across all levels of an organization. He has a genuine understanding of ‘leadership’ in practice and takes a big picture and a creative approach to problem-solving.
Prior to becoming a business coach and leadership adviser, Kayumbi served as a customer experience training manager at the Kenya Commercial Bank. Before taking on this role, he was core training manager (management of learning ) for the Institute of Advanced Technology in Kenya and a lead trainer with the Peak Performance in Kenya.
Kayumbi is the author of the "Training Needs Analysis: A practical guide to Training" and "Development and Management of Learning", creative training techniques handbooks. These books were written based on his extensive experience in developing training, people, and leadership programs for very diverse organizations.
Kayumbi has a special interest in fostering creativity in the workplace and focuses on assisting clients with setting goals that are consistent with their values and those of their organizations. He also works to increase clients' awareness of their personality factors and how these influence their leadership style and team dynamics.

- He is an IFC-LPI TPMA certified trainer; the main focus being the needs of the learner, not the knowledge of the trainer geared towards the industry-recognized level of competency, standard assessment, and monitoring of learning programs to the highest level of learning.
- He is also a certified facilitator for Delloitte/Development Dimensions International (DDI) with eligibility and the ability to train 60 world-class courses offered by DDI learning systems geared at developing extraordinary leaders and talent development
- He also completed the Culture Change Facilitation Training program coordinated by Quest WorldWide Consulting etc.
