Kate Iketubosin is a managing consultant of Stern & Kay Consulting Limited, a graduate of the University of Benin (B.Sc second class lower degree in Business Administration), and holds an MBA from IESE Business School at the University of Navarra Spain.
Before establishing Stern & Kay Consulting Ltd, Kate worked in the Nigerian banking sector for almost two decades. Specifically, she worked with NAL Merchant Bank Plc, Ecobank Nigeria Plc, and National Bank Limited. In these institutions, she acquired experience in areas as diverse as branch management, personal banking, and financial services and products marketing. At various times, Kate headed the Treasury and Financial Institutions Unit and the Commercial Banking Group. It is to her credit that she accomplished the establishment of the Export Desk of Ecobank Nigeria Plc. She has also acted as a consultant to state governments on World Bank-assisted projects.
Kate’s consulting interests are corporate governance, leadership, marketing, banking operations, service delivery, team building, time management, change management, and other soft skills.
She has been certified and accredited as a trainer and facilitator by the following institutions:
• Industrial Training Fund
• Centre for Management Development Nigeria
• The Mennonite Economic Development Associates (MEDA), an association of 3,000 business people in the United States and Canada
• International Trade Centre for the Exporting of Services
• IFC as a Business Edge Trainer.
Kate is also a consultant to Servicom Nigeria, the service delivery institute in Nigeria, whose primary focus is to provide training for all cadres of public servants on service delivery in Nigeria. She is a charter member of the Nigerian Institute of Management and an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management Nigeria.
She is an authorized trainer on the IFC-GCGF/FITC Board Leadership Training Programme in Sub-Saharan Africa. Kate is also a resource person for the following organizations:

• The Nigerian Stock Exchange
• The School of Banking Excellence (Access Bank Nigeria)
Kate has organized various programs and workshops in the public and private sectors, including banking and financial institutions, oil refineries, manufacturing organizations, medical institutions, hospitality, legal industries, and SMEs in the areas of financial planning, customer service, human resources, personal effectiveness, strategy, corporate culture, corporate governance, ethics health and wellness and a host of other value-adding training programs.
As a resource person at the Entrepreneurial Development Centre of the Lagos Business School, Kate designed and developed the customer service and business etiquette curriculum and facilitated thirty-one and twenty streams, respectively.
Kate is also a certified coach.
