Emebet Techane is UNCTAD certified national trainer in Ethiopia. She is a founder and CEO of Locus Training and Consultancy PLC. Emebet has more than 12 years of experience in facilitating and organizing trainings and ToT’s on entrepreneurship skill development, life skills, leadership, marketing and gender, conflict management, and other related topics.

She has facilitated an international training called Entrepreneurship Training Workshop (ETW) for more than 6 years with UNDP, EDC, which is organized by the center in collaboration with various organizations. She also conducted interviews for evaluating personal entrepreneurial competencies of more than 5000 individuals and developed entrepreneurial profiles of training participants. She also worked as a ToT facilitator and training organizer with other international organizations, consultancy firms, governmental and non-governmental organization.

Emebet has been engaged in designing capacity building projects, developing various training materials, assessing trainings situations and trainee’s performances. In addition, she has been involved in creating awareness on various gender related issues at the local as well as national levels. In addition to the capacity development activities, she worked with micro, small and medium manufacturing development agencies and institutions on BDS. Emebet also worked as a lecturer in Haremaya University in the college of business and economics. She has attended various training programs and got certified by international NGOs on facilitation skills, entrepreneurship, gender, leadership, life skills, and conflict management.
Furthermore, Emebet has been involved in planning, programming, and designing tools and methods which have become parts of the training materials which she produced for the target beneficiaries in colleges, district micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) offices and beneficiaries/experts. Emebet has MA degree in Marketing Management from Addis Ababa University and Bachelor of Arts degree in Management from Haramaya University.
