Pius is the Founder and Principal Officer/CEO of Capital Strategies Kenya Limited, a business consultancy firm that specializes in training, strategy development, institutional strengthening programmes and project appraisal, monitoring and evaluation.
Pius is a P HD Entrepreneurship candidate at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture & Technology currently undertaking research on the topic “Drivers of Demand for Business Development Services by Micro and Small Enterprises in Kenya”. Pius holds an MBA degree in Marketing from the University of Nairobi and a B Ed. Degree in Economics and Mathematics from Kenyatta University. Pius has gained valuable and practical experience in training, business mentorship, coaching and provision of BDS spanning over 20 years.

In the training field, Pius as the CEO of Capital Strategies has been involved in provison of training services to individuals, business owners and entrepreneurs. In the past three years, Pius has been the Team Leader in delivery of Core Business Skills Training (CBST) to over 6,000 youth in six Kenyan Counties under The World Bank Funded, Kenya Youth Employment and Opportunities Programme (KYEOP). In addition, through the KCB Bank Limited, Pius has led teams of trainers in training business owners and entrepreneurs under the KCB Biashara Banking Club. Pius has also been involved in training farmers and actors in the agribusiness value chains through the KCB Foundation. In the business mentorship sphere, Pius is currently the Team Leader in the delivery of Business Mentorship support to 1250 MSME owners in 12 Kenyan Counties under the programme of Young Africa Works (YAW) through sponsorship by Equity Group Foundation and MasterCard Foundation.

Pius is also the Founder and Chairman of the SIYB Association of Kenya, an umbrella organization that brings together over 350 Certified Trainers and Master Trainers of the ILO Start and Improve Your Business (SIYB) Programme in Kenya. Through this association, Pius and other MTs have been involved in conducting Training of Trainers Courses for over 300 trainers in the last three years.
