I want to appreciate how my trainer understood my mental health needs from the very introductory session and encouraged me to give it my best one session at a time. The trainer was patient, and followed up with helpful feedback, focusing on what I did well and emphasizing what I could do better. In a world where talking about our mental health challenges is still taboo and could also be the cause of quick burnout and a drop in productivity at work, having a trainer who listens and empathizes while encouraging and modeling best practices to you, was very assuring and reassuring. I learned so much from the training as well as from the trainer, both of which are important learning curves for a trainee.
