My name is Evans Kabagi, a brother, son, uncle, and psychologist based in Thika, Kenya. My area of focus is mental and emotional health at individual, institutional, and social levels. More specifically, I am passionate about creating holistic, accessible, evidence-based, and trauma-informed mental health solutions for diverse groups in diverse social settings.

In my line of work, I have found that some substance use and mental health conditions can be prevented if people have access to accurate information and resources. Support and care by their loved ones also go a long way.

I hope to destigmatize mental health in the African context and make it accessible and affordable. This can be achieved by providing information and education to communities, focusing on their specific needs, and creating long-lasting mental health solutions.
