Jean-Jacques Attemene is a senior expert in finance, strategy, and business development services, with 16 years of experience driving private sector growth across francophone West Africa. Founder and Managing Director of Bridge Investment Partners (BIP) in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, he combines deep technical expertise with a proven, high-impact facilitation practice built for demanding institutional environments.
A BIT-certified entrepreneurship trainer (GERME methodology), Rainforest Alliance-certified in training methodologies, and MBA graduate from CESAG Business School (Senegal), Jean-Jacques has delivered well over 1,000 hours of facilitation to entrepreneurs, SMEs, and development professionals across banking, agribusiness, finance, and organizational management. His capacity-building portfolio includes programs commissioned by AGEFOP, GIZ, LadyAgri (Brussels), Solidaridad International, and private-sector clients, each with documented, measurable on-the-ground outcomes.
His engagement with Japanese management excellence goes beyond academic exposure. Certified by JICA Chubu (Nagoya, 2016) in business development services for industrial promotion, he subsequently founded and leads the Japan Innovation Management Tours, an immersive learning initiative bringing African business managers and executives face-to-face with the foundations of Japanese management philosophy. The program covers core concepts, including Kaizen, Monozukuri, Lean manufacturing, and the Keiretsu model, giving African practitioners firsthand insight into operational excellence systems that have shaped some of the world's most competitive industries. This initiative reflects his conviction that transformative learning happens through immersion, not just instruction.
He has trained 1,000+ entrepreneurs in business plan development, guided 102 SMEs through strategic and financial diagnostics, and designed end-to-end learning systems for field data collectors and institutional managers alike. His facilitation style is structured, learner-centered, and firmly anchored in adult learning principles, always engineered to produce behavioral change, not just knowledge transfer.
Jean-Jacques is deeply committed to continuous professional growth. He has just completed advanced training in Artificial Intelligence applied to the evaluation of programs and public policies, adding a rigorous, technology-driven analytical dimension to his already broad facilitation and advisory practice. He actively integrates AI tools into his learning design and capacity-building work, bringing a forward-looking and evidence-based edge to every engagement.
Based in West Africa, deeply embedded in the development ecosystem, and fully bilingual in English and French, he is precisely the self-driven L&D professional the IFC Master Trainer program is built for.
