Ruth Yohannes is a seasoned HR and management professional with over 15 years of experience in local and international organizations, where she has held executive roles and contributed to critical strategic decisions as part of senior management teams. Ruth's leadership experience spans a range of HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, company culture development, employer branding, and a robust learning environment. She has also led corporate services teams across logistics, administration, procurement, safety, security, and IT, demonstrating her strength as an all-rounded organizational leader.
Ruth is the founder and driving force behind The Talent Firm, a social enterprise established in 2019 that provides innovative human capital solutions, organizational development services, capacity-building programs, and career readiness training. The Talent Firm serves businesses in Ethiopia and internationally with recruitment, employee outsourcing, and job-matching services tailored to meet the demands of a dynamic workforce landscape.
Ruth holds a management degree and a master's in human resource management from Addis Ababa University. As Board President of the Society of Human Resource Management in Ethiopia, she leads efforts to advance the HR profession and promote best practices among its 400+ members. An Acumen Fellow, Ruth frequently speaks at local and international forums on HR topics, youth employment, and job creation. Her passion for empowering individuals and organizations underpins her work, driving her commitment to creating meaningful, lasting change in the field.
