I am a Certified Management Consultant. I have more than eighteen years of rich banking experience. I built my banking career at the Bank of Abyssinia immediately after its formation where I joined as a fresh graduate from college and reached the level of an assistant branch manager, and was selected as one of the first young management team. Thereafter, I joined Zemen Bank, during its formation, as an Assistant Branch Manager, and assisted in the establishment of the bank starting from share selling and going through the establishment process and helped establish the Bank’s only branch by designing and implementing its products and services, creating and executing one-of-a-kind unique culture in the area of customer service, which enabled the Bank to be a pioneer in the banking industry. I also played crucial roles in the recruitment and training of the initial staff of the Bank and in designing the workflow and the layout of the retail service. In the course of my tenure, I was twice selected as employee of the year among all employees of the Bank and served as Director of Human Resource Management, Domestic Banking Operation, Multichannel, and Personal and Business Banking Departments. I have developed a number of policy and procedure manuals in all the departments I have managed. I also have extensive years of experience, serving as a committee member in the areas of; recruitment and promotion, procurement, credit review and approval, structure review, job analysis, evaluation, grading and salary scale construction, and core banking system implementation. I have many years of experience in designing and delivering training in key areas of banking. Currently, I have established a consulting company with my partners in 2019 and working in areas of consultancy, recruitment, and training mainly in banking. I have a diploma in accounting, a degree in management, and an executive MBA, all from Addis Ababa University.
