As Qua Qua Capital Consultancy Plc's founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Firehiwot Birke is responsible for running all facets of the business. Firehiwot has a proven executive management track record and over 20 years of banking experience locally and abroad. Previously, Firehiwot served as Branch Manager at PNC Bank in the USA where she greatly contributed to the growth of the sales and marketing of the branches she managed. Her first job experience in Ethiopia, she served as the Main Branch Manager at Zemen Bank and helped establish the Bank’s only branch since its commencement. Firehiwot played crucial roles in the formation of Zemen Bank, in designing and implementing its products and services, creating and executing one-of-a-kind unique culture in the area of customer service, which enabled the bank to be a pioneer in the banking industry. Before establishing Qua Qua, Firehiwot was Vice-President of Customer Service at Zemen Bank S.C, entrusted to oversee corporate and institutional banking, personal and business banking, and promotion and public relations departments. This involved the supervision of the bank’s portfolio in deposit, loan, and FX, through client acquisition and retention and supervising the overall branches’ performance. She also served as a committee member in recruitment, credit, and procurement. Firehiwot has acquired extensive experience in delivering training in key areas of banking and customer service. She conducted her elementary and high school education abroad and earned her bachelor's degree in commerce at the University of Pune, India.
