Livania B. dos Santos Gomes is a Project Coordinator at Plan International, working with a strong focus on Inclusion and Diversity. She is also the co-founder of BDS Smart (Business Development Services) in Timor-Leste, an initiative dedicated to strengthening entrepreneurship and promoting inclusive economic empowerment.

Through BDS Smart, she supports capacity building in business development, financial literacy, and livelihood skills, with a particular focus on youth, women, Persons with Disabilities (PwDs), and LGBTQI+ communities. The initiative aims to empower individuals and small groups to develop sustainable income-generating activities and improve their economic independence.

Her professional and volunteer work reflects a deep commitment to social inclusion and community development. She actively contributes to several organizations and movements, including Loiola Wolves, the Pastoral Team, Girls Alliances (focused on gender equality, climate action, and personal development), 3R-Timor-Leste (a youth group promoting recycling and environmental awareness), the Asia Youth Forum, the Global Youth Influencer network, and Future Leader Ba ASEAN (FLBA).

Through these engagements, she advocates for equality, youth empowerment, environmental sustainability, and meaningful participation of marginalized groups in decision-making processes.

In her free time, Livania enjoys reading, listening to music, and reflecting on personal growth. She is passionate about continuous learning and self-development, with a strong vision of contributing to a more inclusive, empowered, and sustainable future for communities in Timor-Leste and beyond.
