Rogerio Sanches is a financial system development officer at Banco Central de Timor-Leste, where he supports initiatives that promote financial inclusion, digital financial services, financial literacy, and MSME development. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics and business from João Saldanha University and has professional experience in banking, education, and financial sector development.

Before joining the Central Bank, Rogerio worked as a teller at PT Bank Mandiri (Timor-Leste Branch) and taught economics and entrepreneurship at St. Jude Thaddeus International School. He is also a YSEALI Academic Fellow in economic development and social entrepreneurship at the University of Connecticut.

Passionate about inclusive economic development, Rogerio is committed to strengthening Timor-Leste's financial sector, expanding access to finance, and empowering communities through financial education and sustainable economic initiatives.
