Herminia is an experienced development professional with a strong background in tourism and community engagement. Formerly working with the Government of Timor-Leste, she contributed to initiatives aimed at enhancing the country's tourism sector. With a passion for empowering grassroots communities, she has extensive experience collaborating with development partners to foster grassroots capacity building.

From 2002 to 2004, Herminia served as a trainer for the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC), enhancing skills in facilitation and training over three years. Her commitment to community development led to a subsequent role with various development partners, where she continued to work closely with on-the-ground communities.

Since 2022, Herminia has rejoined as a co-facilitator in the capacity-building program with different organizations, where she continues to empower individuals and organizations to reach their full potential. With a dedication to creating opportunities for those who often lack access, Herminia remains focused on fostering sustainable development and positive change.
