I was previously a Member of the Timor-Leste National Parliament for seven years and served as Chair of Commission D on Economic and Development. I also have six years of experience as a trainer and have provided training on the "Get Ahead" module for women in business. I have also provided training to aspiring entrepreneurs with ideas for starting SMEs, as well as to members of the AEMTL (Agricultural Empowerment and Development Agency) from several districts in Timor-Leste. I am currently the Deputy Chair of AEMTL and the Deputy Chair for the Empowerment of Women Entrepreneurs at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Timor-Leste (CCI-TL). I was also the Director of an orphanage in the Ermera Regency, Timor-Leste, that housed the children of Timor-Leste's freedom fighters for 4 years. I worked as an agricultural employee for seven years, from 1992 to 1999.

Being a trainer is a strong passion for me, as I have been able to meet many business groups in the community who desperately need assistance due to numerous obstacles caused by limited access to information and limited transportation in the city. I feel satisfied and proud when I can be a source of information and bring about change in the community through the training I provide. I always believe that no one is perfect, so learning from others and sharing knowledge are ways to achieve perfection together.
