Bakar Haji Omar is a senior national expert in private sector development with UNIDO Somalia and an IFC–LPI TPMA Certified Trainer. He has extensive experience supporting private sector development, SME growth, investment promotion, entrepreneurship, business incubation, stakeholder engagement, and public–private collaboration in Somalia.

His work involves close engagement with government institutions, private sector organizations, financial institutions, development partners, and entrepreneurs. He has also completed professional training in areas including IFC Performance Standards, financial inclusion, infrastructure and PPPs, investment promotion, facilitation, and learning delivery.

Bakar is particularly interested in delivering practical, market-oriented training that strengthens the capacity of businesses, institutions, and professionals across Somalia and the wider Horn of Africa.
