I have a master's degree in health services planning and management from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. When I received my first degree, I worked for two years as a national service person and a volunteer at the Bureau of Integrated Rural Development (BIRD), a research and development organization of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
I have over 22 years of experience in development. Since 2004, I have worked as a researcher, facilitator, and trainer with Participatory Development (PDA) and EDC Consultancy Ltd — two well-known private development consultancy organizations in Ghana, and as a freelance consultant. I have been involved in many consultancies and training activities for many organizations, such as ActionAid, Rights and Voice Initiative (RAVI), International Cocoa Initiative (ICI), Mars Partnership for African Coca Communities of Tomorrow, Right to Play, CIDA, Cadbury Ghana, World Bank, Business Sector Advocacy Fund (BUSAC), SDF, Advans Savings and Loans Ltd, Access Bank, and the Ghana Supply Chain Development Programme.
My areas of expertise are:
1. design and customization of training manuals,
2. training using participatory methods,
3. mentoring and coaching MSMEs, and
4. research using participatory approaches.
Since 2008, I have worked with over 40 MSMEs providing consultancy services and training in the following areas:
1. business development,
2. financial management,
3. entrepreneurship, and
4. advocacy.
