Augustina Juliana Ortsin is a freelance learning & development with over twenty years’ experience in the areas of human resource development. She has been an associate at Sync Consult for over fifteen years. She has also been an associate at Rainbow Consult since 2019.

Augustina is a certified IFC-LPI trainer. She has trained several organizations in customer care, time management, school leadership, conditions for learning and effective communication. Augustina has worked on several projects as a coach and consultant.

Implementation of Sanitation Component (household toilets) in selected municipal assemblies under the Greater Accra Metropolitan Area (GAMA) Sanitation and Water Project. Provided technical advisory support to chief executives, household toilet teams, private sector contractors and assistant engineers supervising construction, enabling them to exceed project targets of household toilets by 30+%.

• Consultant (Team Lead)
Engaged the stakeholders in the clean technology industry all over the country, to ascertain what their expectations would be, should the World Bank in partnership with DANIDA set up a Climate Innovative Centre in Ghana. Additionally, a workshop was organized for all stakeholders to validate the reports put together by the consultants from the various regional surveys and Focus group discussions. This has enabled the establishment of a climate Innovative Center in Ghana with relevant expertise to meet the needs of its client.

As a researcher on the team, the study of the industrial and economic livelihoods impact assessment study in Sinoe сounty in Liberia, It led to exposure of the weakness of the award of palm plantation contract to foreigners without the involvement of the natives. As a result of this the Liberia government had failed to secure the welfare of its people which needed to be reversed.

Researched the weaknesses of teacher training in Ghana and ways these could be improved as they have direct impact on children’s learning with special reference to females.
Client: Research Triangle Institute, USA

She holds an MPhil in Sociology from the Department of Sociology, University of Ghana, a bachelor’s degree in English & sociology from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology and a Diploma in English Education, UCEW.
