Introduction

Helen is an experienced portfolio worker, MSME advisor, and business consultant for Founders (especially young entrepreneurs & women) in the agribusiness ecosystem and ‘Technology Enabled Ventures’. She has over 29 years of post-graduation work experience with major national and multinational corporations across multiple sectors. She has worked on several programs and projects, especially in developing businesses along the agribusiness value chain, infrastructure development, manufacturing, not-for-profits, and the public sector.

Directorships – executive and non-executive

Helen is currently CEO of Scientia Consult a Business and Project Development consultancy based in Lagos and co-founder of Aunty Helen Foods Processing Limited. Aunty Helen Foods processes and packages groundnut oil, palm oil, and spices. Helen is a non-executive director at STACO Insurance Plc, Techquest STEM Academy and Support Bridges Initiative for Youth. Between 2016 and 2018, she was the non-executive director and chair of Enterprise Risk Management and Corporate Governance Board Committees at Courteville Business Solutions Plc a technology business providing solutions to corporates, and governments in over 26 states of Nigeria and 3 African countries.

Faculty, research, and agribusiness expert

She is an adjunct faculty at the Enterprise Development Centre of Pan-Atlantic University, Lagos, and serves as a business adviser in the ‘Expert in Residence’ program where she coaches growing MSMEs. Helen is also a guest lecturer at the Lagos Business School, Agribusiness Management program, and a facilitator and business adviser on the Agribusiness Ecosystem in the Lagos Business School Alumni Association Business Networking Circuit.

Helen works with the research team at Enterprise Development Centre to conduct a needs assessment for the Mastercard Foundation program aimed at providing 30 million decent jobs in 10 years among the Nigerian Youth. She developed the agribusiness ecosystem strategy for the program, content, and engagement strategy for youth across the 36 states of Nigeria.

Certified international facilitator

Helen is a certified international facilitator by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) (as a Business Edge Trainer) and Learning and Performance Institute United Kingdom (LPI) (certified learning and performance trainer).

Helen efficiently designs, develops content, and facilitates sessions on corporate governance, business, and organizational development programs for International and local corporate organizations in the public and private sectors.
