Chinazo Okoye received an LL.B (Hons) in Law from Nnamdi Azikiwe University in 2005 and became a member of the prestigious Nigeria Institute of Chartered Arbitrators in 2008. She practiced litigation for over five years where she was involved in active advocacy and company secretarial roles before joining the Enterprise Development Centre (EDC) in 2010. Her decision to join EDC was born out of her passion to support SMEs by providing solid corporate governance structures to ensure their sustainability. She is currently the Legal Counsel as well as Project Manager at EDC.

An IFC/LPI Business Edge trainer, Chinazo facilitates sessions on governance, marketing management and personal productivity modules. She also facilitates the legal and regulatory matters module at EDC’s flagship program – Certificate in Entrepreneurial Management (CEM), and offers legal advisory services to SMEs on intellectual property rights, franchising, labour law, law of torts, regulatory matters, law of contracts and other areas of commercial law. She is a faculty member of the Pan-Atlantic University where she lectures on entrepreneurship.

Mrs. Okoye has handled national projects such as the Youth Enterprise with Innovation in Nigeria (YouWiN) from 2012 to 2014; Youth Entrepreneurship Support (YES) Program (2016); BIG project (2016 to 2019e), etc. In her role as a project manager, she initiates projects, manages relationships, and gets involved in negotiations.

In 2016, Chinazo bagged an MSc. degree in Media and Communications from the Pan-Atlantic University and most recently, was awarded a Fellow of the Starting Bloc Institute, New York.
