Adegboyega Adebajo has had an interest in developmental training & facilitation since his university days. His active participation in the Junior Chamber International at that time provided not just an opportunity to obtain an initial Train the Trainer experience, but also to train members at international and national conferences and train as a guest trainer on numerous occasions. In the course of his career in the financial services industry, he continued to offer his time as a personal development trainer. As he rose to the senior management position in the banking sector, he was sought after more as a trainer in financial advisory and corporate finance. When Adegboyega Adebajo left the financial Industry, he started dedicating more time to training and facilitation and became an external faculty member of a number of training organisations -- not just in Nigeria, but in a couple of other African countries. After his Business edge and IFC-LPI experience, he felt it would be ideal to incorporate an entity (Amethyst & Ashlar Advisory Ltd "A&AA"), through which he could share both his banking experience and his understanding of the SME business development and financial advisory needs.

The intention was for A&AA to initially leverage on the network to seek opportunities to deliver best in-class business advisory and strategic planning to SMEs and public sector agencies. Adegboyega's vision was to create access to a rich pool of consultants with diverse expertise and experience and operate a model based on collaboration and partnerships in the execution of assignments and engagements, such that clients are afforded the benefit of top level advisory services.
