I have a strong academic background in finance and accounting, as well as knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards and economics of security. I have a broad experience and a proven record of working as a certified management consultant (e.g. consulting many national and international business organizations in Ethiopia in the areas of investment and finance, tax planning, organizational formation, licensing and accounting system and standards (GAAP, IFRS ); as a tax change management team leader and tax policy adviser (e.g. at Ethiopian Revenues and Customs and Authority, where I developed management systems and capacity building, and was in charge of coordination, organization and management of knowledge), and as a researcher (e.g. I conducted detailed research and prepared complex policy reports, worked as a finance, project management, trade and tax policy adviser, and was in charge of funding mobilization and financing, trade facilitation and investment, and a customs border security reform – a key element of ERCA’s capacity building strategy). In addition, I have been teaching in different universities and colleges of Ethiopia as assistant professor of accounting and finance. I prepared and published research articles in the areas of accounting, portfolio management, financial management, tax, investment and finance. My research outputs clearly show my deep knowledge of research and complex data analysis skills.
