What is it about?
The self-paced "Analyzing Needs and Determining Strategies to Improve Performance" course is designed for learning and development (L&D) professionals involved in training and performance improvement projects. It teaches participants how to analyze performance gaps and develop strategies for training or performance improvement solutions that align with organizational needs.
Participants will learn to identify the current and desired states of individual or organizational performance with consideration of specific business goals; determine necessary actions to bridge performance gaps, clarify limitations, identify appropriate learning or performance solutions, and create a comprehensive plan for implementing these solutions. By the end of the course, participants will have developed the skills necessary to effectively analyze performance gaps and create strategies that meet their clients’ needs.
Analyzing Needs and Determining Strategies to Improve Performance is one of the initial steps in the training project lifecycle. When properly done, it enables successful training design, development, and facilitation and provides a solid foundation for successful performance improvement projects.

How long does it take to complete the course?
The course consists of seven modules and two assignments. Each module is about an hour long, so the course may take about ten hours to complete.
How to maximize learning?
Take the course with a peer or a small group of peers. Discuss your lessons learned between modules (in person, online, or in a message/chat/discussion forum) and hold each other accountable to complete the course. Conduct the practical activities together. Create a rhythm for the modules that matches your schedules.
How is it offered?
