Caroline Nyamwaya Mwazi
Master Trainer
Caroline is the Founder and Chief Change Catalyst of Huru Consult Ltd, Nairobi-based management and training consulting company she founded in 2007, following a 16-year career in banking, the last 8 in corporate banking, at Barclays Bank of Kenya, managing key accounts in the petroleum, hospitality and manufacturing sectors.
Passionate about people development, strategy, and organizational excellence, Caroline helps organizations and their teams maximize their potential by creating tailor-made training, consulting, and coaching solutions focusing on strategy, financial management, entrepreneurship, leadership, organizational behavior, governance, and client relations and personal development.
She holds an MBA degree in general management with concentrations in strategy, leadership, and entrepreneurship. She is also an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, UK (now the London Institute of Banking and Finance), with a Diploma in Customer Relationship Management from the Institution of Financial Services, UK (now the London Institute of Banking and Finance) and possesses a Diploma in Public Relations from the Institute of Commercial Management (UK). She is in the final stages of obtaining, a Higher Diploma in Psychological Counselling from the Kenya Methodist University.
A certified IFC Master Trainer and an LPI Trainer and Assessor, she is also a provisional IFC Instructional Designer. As a Master Trainer, she has facilitated IFC and other Train the Trainer Programs in Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, and Tunisia. She has also developed and delivered face-to-face business and management training programs in Africa, Europe, and Latin America; and online training and coaching to participants from Africa, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Latin, and North America.
She is a certified Governance Trainer (Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, (ICSA) and is in the process of obtaining certifications from the LPI (UK) as an Online Learning Facilitator (COLF) and Developer of Online Learning (CDOL).
Organizations she has served to date include IFC, Vital Voices Global Partnership, African Management Services Company (AMSCO), Japanese International Co-operation Agency (JICA), Danish Refugee Council (DRC), and various corporate organizations.
Until 2018 Caroline was a regular contributor for Marketing Africa Magazine, writing a personal development column dubbed ‘Leading You’. She is a member of the Kenya Institute of Management, the Kenya Institute of Bankers, and the London Institute of Banking and Finance. She has previously served as a Board Member for the Kenya Association of Women Business Owners and Vice President, of Public Relations, for the Kwanza Kenya Toastmasters Club.
She is fluent in English, French, and Swahili and competent in Kenyan Sign Language and brings to each project her rich experience, technical expertise, and commitment to excellent execution.
